2006 marks the 40th anniversary of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, which airs tonight on ABC, complete with extra goodies - so tune in, boys and girls!

Well, the big tree went up last night, and the stockings and advent calender are up today. Now the only ones in need of stockings are our two rats! *lol* Seriously, if we find some, we're going to buy them a couple of those miniature ones...

Tonight we'll be putting up the little white tree in our room (after we clean up a little)!

As the Christmas season makes its way into our hearts, it seems the perfect time of year to immerse one's self in their family history and traditions. This year, I'm really getting into my German heritage. Whilst looking for traditional holiday goodies (particularly a refillable German Advent calendar), I found this lovely little online shop:
